This set was packaged in a very plain rectangular box and unlike many
Revell sets, it included a power pack. It is numbered near the
original sets issued in 1956, gut the contents are clearly later as
witnessed by the 8 wheel drive locomotive and the caboose with late
style chassis base. The caboose is also missing on set of ladders,
but the cutout in the set box doesn't allow for that set, so it must be
intentional. Cars are mixed with one with the trucks attached with
screws with built in bushings (early design) and some not. Also, the hopper cas
appears to be the operating version with the actuators broken off.
This set bears all the signs of a set put together for closeout. |
